No, this is not the Russian translation of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious).

It is simply the phobia of Friday the 13th. It’s a cousin of triskaidekaphobia, the fear of the number 13. Don’t worry, I won’t ask you to pronounce it out loud, especially if you are glossophobic (having the fear of public speaking).
Fears are a normal part of how we operate, it is a protection mechanism. Some fears are totally justified. Phobias on the other hand, are totally irrational either in the source of the fear, or the intensity of the fear response. They affect many people and are extremely varied.

Because they are irrational, it is very hard to reason yourself out of a phobia. There is a strong emotional element that needs to be processed in order to release the sufferer from it. That’s where hypnotherapy comes in. It allows people to calmly, safely and rapidly process that emotional thorn and free themselves from the fear.

Will it mean that arachnophobics will start loving spiders? No, not necessarily, but at the very least, they’ll remain calm and act rationally near them. If you’re in Australia for example, you want to treat them with respect! And this is the whole point: act accordingly to the real threat if it exists, and not to an imaginary one.

This can often be done in just one session and regain control of your life.

So if you want to free yourself from a phobia, call me now… or message me if you telephonophobic or course.
